Get Involved

The Natural History Centre has grown to where it is today because of your support. Over the years, the community has contributed natural treasures, offered ideas, time, and energy, and made donations that have allowed us to expand.

Become a Member

Join us in providing natural history programs and exhibits and continuing the tradition of nature education on Hornby Island by becoming a member. The Natural History Centre exists to support environmental education and provide community members and visitors opportunities for cultivating deeper relationships with the natural world. In the last ten years, we have expanded from caring for a few specimens in the school library to a vibrant centre with a natural history collection, student education, expert speaker series, topical nature walks, and more. Our ability to provide educational resources and programs for all ages could not have been achieved without the community’s enthusiasm and support.
