The Art of Sea-ing

On May 11th Rochelle Chinnery will be presenting a slideshow and talk about her seaweed photography at the Hornby Island Arts Centre. These abstracted images are part of a larger project and collection of ceramic work pertaining to shore ecology and climate change. This talk is about finding beauty on the foreshore, artistic process, and a personal journey into connection to place.

The slideshow and talk will be enhanced by soundbath interludes from musician and performer Chelka.

Seating is limited. Doors at 6:30, talk begins at 7pm.

We are very grateful to Rochelle for doing this as a fundraiser for Hornby Natural History. Don’t miss this, it’s sure to be an amazing evening.

Rochelle’s website here has more details about her work.
